The 2013 Oscars Red Carpet brought out the best and worst of Hollywood. I have to admit I was so impresses with the Armani Prive copper gown worn by Best Actress nominee, Jessica Chastain, who looked like a copper statute. (I just wish she came home with Oscar gold!)

Reese Witherspoon in Louis Vuitton looked fabulous and post baby after just three months! Bravo to Louis Vuitton for creating an amazing gown with black panels on the back of the dress to give the illusion of a smaller waist.

Jane Fonda in custom Atelier Versace. Her stylist was on E!’s fashion red carpet and said that Versace was able to designer her the gown in record time. Donatella’s team found the fabric and created a dream gown for the ageless Fonda!

The Confusing and Just Wrong
Anne Hathaway’s Prada dress was not my favorite. I really miss the days when she would wear gorgeous Armani Prive gowns, but her duchess satin backless column dress with a questionable cone-like top. I got the direction Anne was going in but come on, her entire wardrobe this entire award season makes me question if she is now dressing herself. Or if she is still working with Rachel Zoe, I would suggest getting your money back because the choices were just horrible!

Kristen Stewart was in a lifeless Reem Acra gown and I love Reem Acra but this actress truly I get a sense only goes to these events because of her status as a top actor for the tween themed movies. Seriously hire a new team who can help get you ready for an award show.
My advice: think more Grace Kelly and not Fall from Grace. (Not to mention she arrived on crutches!)

Until next award season.
